Refund Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Free Trial

FreelaMe offers a free trial period so you can evaluate the Service before subscribing. We encourage you to make full use of your trial before committing to a paid plan.

2. Subscription Payments

Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period. By default, we do not offer refunds for the current billing period once a payment has been processed.

3. Exceptions — When We Do Refund

We will issue a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same period
  • Service unavailability: If the Service experienced significant downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) during your paid period
  • Charged after cancellation: If you were charged after properly cancelling your subscription
  • 14-day cooling-off period: Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you are a consumer (not purchasing as a business) and subscribed for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge — provided you have not made substantial use of the Service during that period

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at hello@freela.me with:

  • Your registered email address
  • The date of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
